While you can’t just snap your fingers and book a flight, you can come very close to do so by booking a flight using the Blade App. Based in New York City, United States, Blade is a crowdsourced, short-distance aviation company that is quickly becoming the ‘Uber of helicopters’.
The company is the first digitally operated aviation company where flights can be booked in seconds using a Smartphone. You can also have the convenience to book a service called the ‘Bounce’ to book an entire six-seat chopper for $800. Even if the flights are cancelled because of the rains or thunder, complimentary chauffeur-driven Mercedes-Benz cars are available to transport the customers to their desired destinations.
Passengers can also get the added advantage of relaxing at the Blade Lounge while waiting for their flights, have a drink and unwind while your flight will be ready. Other perks that are included in the ticket are snacks, drinks and newspaper.
With all the positive things going on, they plan to launch the service in new locations.
Locations: Flight trips to the Fire Island, Hamptons, Martha’s Vineyard and the Cape, Nantucket, Newport, Fishers Island, Hyannis, Sag Harbour, etc.
Cost: There are no membership fees. However, the least costly destination would be a Eurocopter seat to Fire Island for $395. To book flights in advance use the Season passes.
