Popular travel rating website Airlineratings.com has declared the Best luxury air travel champions, and Qantas, along with Singapore Airlines, are the winners. The results were announced after the examination of in-flight services of more than 450 airlines.

Geoffrey Thomas, AirlineRatings.com Editor-In-Chief, remarked that it was not surprising that Qantas, Air New Zealand, Cathay Pacific Airways, Singapore Airlines, Etihad Airways and the Virgin Group featured so significantly in the Top Ten selections, as these airlines have been time after time a byword for in-flight excellence and service.

Here are the winner airlines in alphabetic order:

FIRST CLASS: All Nippon Airways, Emirates, Etihad Airways, Japan Airlines, Korean Air, Lufthansa, Qantas, Singapore Airlines, Swiss and Thai International

BUSINESS CLASS: Air France, Air New Zealand, All Nippon Airways, Cathay Pacific Airways, Etihad Airways, Japan Airlines, Qatar, Qantas, Singapore Airlines and Virgin Australia/Atlantic
